In response to the Sept 11th events, The Department of Defense stood up the Joint Air Defense Operation Center (JADOC) with a tasking to protect the skies above the National Capital Region (NCR).
The important mission of the JADOC requires critical data points be collected to ensure forensic reconstruction at a moments notice. As part of the forensic data collection system, the Boulder Imaging "VisionRecorder" System provided the exact solution required to meet critical video recording needs. This customized solution performs 24/7 capturing millisecond time stamped video from key points in the system totally satisfying the requirements of mission analysts.

Boulder Imaging has been our exclusive imaging system partner for over four years. In that time we have integrated four of their inspection systems into our production lines. During the night firing of the Reusable Solid Rocket Motor (RSRM) at ATK in Utah we obtained all the data we had hoped with the help of Boulder Imaging. The night firing occurred to support testing of ELVIS (Enhanced Launch Vehicle Imaging System) cameras ability to resolve details during a night launch. Boulder Imaging proved to be a large step ahead of others in providing great technical support during our camera testing. Without their help we could not obtained the data we needed in the short schedule put on us. My only regret is that we hadn’t met Boulder Imaging a couple of years earlier to help us as we performed other test to support the Shuttle Imagery Program.
